History

1949Nisshin Shokai Co., Ltd. was founded in Tochigi, Japan.

2003 – A joint-venture company, NI Midstar, was founded in South Dakota and began freight forwarding services.

2012 – US Nisshin Shokai Inc., a South Dakota corporation, was founded as a subsidiary of Nisshin Shokai Co., Ltd.

2013 – Acquired NI Midstar.

2014 – Chicago sales office opened and began US sales. Taiwan Nisshin Shokai, the affiliate company, was established in Taiwan and started exporting to Taiwan and South Korea.

2016 – Obtained the USDA Organic certificate as an organic handler.

2017 – First export sales to Europe.

2019 – South Dakota office and Chicago office merged. Functions of freight forwarding and sales consolidated into the Chicago office. US Nisshin Shokai Inc. domesticated and became an Illinois business corporation.

2020 – Custom development of internal cloud software began.

2021 – Customer software launched.

2023 – Obtained NVOCC license under USNS Logistics

2024 – Grain equipment services started.
